10 ounces frozen flour rounds (i.e. Don Pepe, can be found in latin stores freezer section)
From Scratch
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 tablespoons cold water
salt
2 cups oil
For Filling
1 lb ground chicken (beef, pork,or turkey)
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon tomato paste
2 leaves coriander , chopped finely
2 teaspoons salt
1 small red onion
1 medium green pepper
ground black pepper (to taste)

Brie and Cheddar Savory Crackers

INGREDIENTS

3/4 cup butter
1/2 cup shredded wisconsin cheddar cheese
1/3 cup wisconsin brie cheese, rind removed
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon fresh chives , choppedor
1/2 teaspoon dried chives
2 cups whole wheat flour

DIRECTIONS

Cream butter and cheeses. Mix in remaining ingredients. Shape into a log, 1 1/2 inch in diameter. Wrap in plastic wrap. Chill.
Slice thinly (about 1/8 inch thick). Place on greased baking sheet. Bake at 375° F for 7 to 10 minutes.

Savory Consomme Rice

INGREDIENTS

1 small onion (chopped)
1/3 cup butter
8 ounces fresh mushrooms (sliced or chopped)
1 cup long grain rice (uncooked)
1 (10 1/2ounce)can beef consomme
3/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon dried parsley
2 dashes garlic powder

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Saute onion and mushroons in butter.
Add rice, consomme, water, salt, pepper, parsley, and garlic powder.
Pour into greased two quart pyrex dish.Cover and bake one hour at 350 degrees.

INGREDIENTS

2 1/4 cups flour
1 cup butter , cut into pieces
1 (8ounce)package cream cheese , cut into pieces
3/4 teaspoon salt , divided
5 ounces pine nuts
1 cup fresh basil leaves , loosely packed
1 cup parmesan cheese , freshly grated
3 garlic cloves
1/4 cup olive oil

DIRECTIONS

In a food processor, pulse flour, butter, cream cheese, and 1/2 teaspoon salt until dough leaves sides of bowl.

4bone-in chicken thighs
1 (1 1/4ounce)envelope onion soup mix
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 cup prepared Italian salad dressing
1/4 cup water
14-16hamburger buns, split
