INGREDIENTS

1/4 cup butter
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 egg , beaten
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup chopped pecans

Paula Deen’s Pomegranate Bellini

INGREDIENTS

1 1/4 cups pomegranate juice
1/3 cup pomegranate syrup
1/3 cup simple syrup (see additional post)
3 tablespoons orange-flavored liqueur
2 (750ml)bottles champagne, chilled (I use Prosecco)

DIRECTIONS

In a small bowl, combine pomegranate juice, pomegranate syrup, simple syrup and orange liqueur.
Cover and chill for 1 hour (allows the flavors to blend).
To serve, fill champagne flutes half-way with pomegranate mixture.
Add champagne to fill.

1 1/4 cups packed light brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
12 ounces creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup butter , softened
1/2 cup multi-colored chocolate candies
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup raisins (optional)
2 teaspoons baking soda
4 1/2 cups quick-cooking oatmeal (not instant)

2 cups buttermilk
