1 lb rice cakes, frozen, sliced
1/2 lb sirloin steaks
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons sesame seeds
1 teaspoon garlic , minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 dash black pepper
8 cups beef broth
2 green onions , sliced diagonally

Korean Chicken Soup

INGREDIENTS

1 small whole chicken
6 cups water
3 potatoes , diced
1 carrot , diced
1-2 tablespoon soy sauce
1 large green onion or leek , chopped
3 garlic cloves , finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

DIRECTIONS

Cook chicken in the water for one hour.

Add remaining ingredients and cook for another 1/2 hour.

45 ml warm water
1/4 teaspoon white sugar
