INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 cups half-and-half or light cream
1/4 cup sugar
2 inches piece fresh ginger , thinly sliced
4egg yolks
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

DIRECTIONS

In a medium saucepan, combine half-and-half, 1/4 cup sugar, and thinly sliced ginger slices.
Cook and stir over medium-low heat for 10 minutes (reduce heat as necessary to prevent boiling).

1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup coarsely chopped nuts
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 cup whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 large egg yolks
1/2 cup peanut butter
