INGREDIENTS

3/4 lb green beans , fresh, ends trimmed
8 ounces portabella mushrooms , chopped, 1/2 inch cubes
2 garlic cloves , minced
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 tablespoons almonds , slivered, toasted
1/2 lb breaded chicken breastsor rotisserie-cooked chicken, chopped
soy sauce
garlic powder
salt
pepper

Steam green beans for about 5 minutes in a pot of boiling water with a steaming basket in place.

For sausage mixture
1 cup cooked great northern beans
3/4 teaspoon ground sage
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1/4 cup dry oatmeal
2 tablespoons canola oil (for frying)
For completing each sandwich
1egg white
1multi-grain low-carb tortilla
2 tablespoons sharp cheddar cheese , grated

DIRECTIONS
