INGREDIENTS

2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup boiling water
2 tablespoons orange rind, grated
1/3 cup orange juice
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 egg , slightly beaten
1/2 cup walnuts , chopped

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Grease an 8 1/2-by-4 1/2-inch loaf pan.

Sift dry ingredients together.

Melt butter in boiling water.
Add orange rind, orange juice, sugar,
vanilla and beaten egg and blend.

Sift dry ingredients over orange mixture. Add nuts.

Stir just until flour is damp.

2/3 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup cider vinegar

INGREDIENTS

4 teaspoons sugar
1 1/2 cups Bisquick
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1 egg
1 tablespoon lemon juice

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 400F and grease a pie plate.
In medium bowl stir sugar with Bisquick just to combine.
Set aside.

INGREDIENTS

2 cups dried navy beans
2 quarts cold water
1/2 lb lean ham , diced
1 teaspoon garlic
1/2 cup onions , chopped
1 cup celery , chopped
1/2 cup carrots , shredded
salt and pepper

DIRECTIONS

Wash and sort the beans and soak overnight in cold water to cover.
Next morning drain beans.
Put beans, ham and garlic in stockpot, add 2 to 3 quarts water.

INGREDIENTS

2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon oregano
2 (4ounce)cans green chilies
3 cups shredded cooked chicken
1 (28ounce)can tomatoes
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups onions , chopped
1/3 cup cooking oil
