1 acorn squash
1 medium onion
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup sour cream
salt & pepper

INGREDIENTS

1 lb meat
1/2 cup finely ground acorn meal
water
salt and pepper

DIRECTIONS

Cut meat into small pieces and place in kettle.

Add water to cover, and cook slowly until meat is tender.

Stir in acorn meal.Add seasoning to taste and serve hot.

Acorn Pancakes

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup white flour
1 cup acorn meal
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg , beaten
1 1/4 cups milk
3 tablespoons oil

DIRECTIONS

Mix dry ingredient.
Separately mix liquid ingredients.
Pour just enough liquid into the flour mix to make a good batter.- DO NOT OVER-MIX!

Spoon the batter into a greased frying pan.

Fry till golden, flipping once.
Top your pancakes with your favorite syrup and serve hot!

Acorn Honey Bread

INGREDIENTS

4 cups flour
2 eggs , beaten
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons ginger
1 cup honey
2 cups milk
2 teaspoons salt
1 cup acorns, chopped

INGREDIENTS

1 cup acorn meal
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons sugar (or honey)
1 cup white flour
1 egg , beaten
1 cup milk
3 tablespoons oil

DIRECTIONS

Mix acorn meal, baking powder, salt, sugar and flour.

Separately, to the beaten egg add milk andoil.
