2 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons fat
3/4 cup milk (about)
DIRECTIONS
Mix and sift dry ingredients.
Rub in fat with tips of fingers.
Add milk granually to make a soft dough use a knife in mixing.
Toss on a well floured board.
Pat and roll out to 1 inch thickness.
Cut with biscuit cutter rolled in flour.
Place close together on an oiled pan.
Bake in a hot oven 450 degrees 10-15 [...]
INGREDIENTS
4 cups hot water
2 cups sugar
2 cups pineapple
3lemons, juice of
4 oranges, juice of
4 cups carbonated water
DIRECTIONS
Prepare a syrup of the water and sugar and boil 15 minutes.
Cool and add fruit and carbonated water.
Serve ice-cold.
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup cocoa
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
DIRECTIONS
Cook cocoa and water together, until smooth and thick.
Add sugar and salt and cook a few more minutes longer.
Add butter and vanilla.
pour into cantainer.
Keep In refrig.
INGREDIENTS
1/2chocolate square (semi-sweet)
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon hot water
1 cup milk (scalded)
1/8 teaspoon vanilla
DIRECTIONS
Break chocolate into pieces.
Add hot water.
Cook until smooth.
Add sugar, stirr until dissolved.
Add 1 cup scalded milk.
Flavor with vanilla, (to taste).
Let cook about 5 minutes in a double boiler.
May be served with whipped cream.
