INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tablespoon water , softener (also called washing soda or lime-scale remover)
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • hot water (if it can burn you, it’s too hot)
  • aluminum foil

DIRECTIONS

  1. Run a quart of hot water into your kitchen sink.
  2. Dissolve the washing soda and salt in the water.
  3. Place a sheet of aluminum foil on the bottom of the sink and place your tarnished silver on top. It must touch the aluminum foil.
  4. The silver that’s touching the foil and covered with water should become clean within 10sec.
  5. If badly tarnished, rub silver item with a cloth after removing it from the water.
