INGREDIENTS

  • 1 (2 1/2lb) broiler-fryer chickens , cut in pieces
  • 3/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 1/2 cups plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil

DIRECTIONS

  1. Wash and dry chicken pieces. Place in shallow baking dish. Combine paprika, basil and garlic salt; sprinkle over chicken pieces.
  2. In a small bowl, stir together 1/2 cup yogurt and soy sauce until smooth. Brush chicken pieces with yogurt mixture.
  3. Bake uncovered at 400° F for 20 minutes. Turn chicken over and baste with juices. Bake 20 minutes more at 350°F.
  4. In a small bowl, stir 1 cup yogurt and flour until creamy. Spread over chicken. Sprinkle with basil. Bake 3 to 5 additional minutes.
