INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons shortening
  • 6-7 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2egg yolks

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix shortening and sugar; add flour, salt, and baking powder.
  2. Add egg yolk, milk and vanilla; mix well with mixer.
  3. Put batter into lined muffin pan. Fill cup 1/2 full.
  4. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
  5. Frost if desired.
