INGREDIENTS
Meat Filling
- 1/2 lb bulk pork sausage
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 3/4 cup chopped onions
- 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 small garlic clove , finely minced
- pepper
- 1 (6ounce)can tomato paste
Cheese filling
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 egg
Crust
- 2 (8ounce)cans refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
DIRECTIONS
- Heat oven to 375°F In a skillet cook sausage and ground beef over medium high heat. When cooked through, stir in the remaining meat filling ingredients. Reduce heat, simmer uncovered five minutes, stirring occasionally.
- In a small bowl, mix cheese filling ingredients. Unroll Dough into four long rectangles. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet with the long sides of the dough overlapping; firmly press edges and perforations of the dough to seal.
- Spoon the meat mixture down the center of the dough to within 1 inch of each end. Spoon cheese filling over meat mixture, to with mozzarella cheese.
- Fold shortest sides of dough over filling. Fold long sides of dough tightly over filling, to seal. Firmly pinch center seam and ends. Brush with milk; Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake 23 to 27 minutes or until golden brown.
