INGREDIENTS
- 1 quart cranberry juice
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar , firmly packed
- 1orange peel
- 1 lemon peel
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 6 whole cloves
- 6 allspice berries
- 1 quart apple cider
- lemon slices , studded with
- whole cloves
DIRECTIONS
- In a large non-aluminum saucepan, combine cranberry juice, sugar, peels and spices.Bring to boil, lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Strain and return liquid to saucepan.Stir in cider and reheat but do not boil.
- Ladle in heatproof cups and serve topped with lemon slices.
