INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar (if making blueberry muffins use 1/2 c. sugar)
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup blueberries (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 400.
  2. Mix together first 4 ingredients.
  3. Cut in shortening, and mix well.
  4. Add the eggs and milk, and mix well.
  5. Fold in blueberries, or any other fruit you want to use.
  6. Grease muffin tin.
  7. Bake at 400, for 20 minutes.
