INGREDIENTS
- 4 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 1/2 cups tomato sauce
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 pint cream
- 1 shallot
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 1/2 cups mushrooms
- olive oil
- salt
- pepper
- cayenne pepper
- pasta , of choice
- basil (optional)
- shredded chicken (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- Boil water for pasta.
- Finely mince the shallot and garlic cloves and add to hot saucepan with olive oil and saute.Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add mushrooms and saute.Then pour in chicken broth and reduce.
- Add pasta to boiling water and season with salt.Boil until al dente.
- After mushrooms are fully cooked, add in cream, tomato sauce and paste, and combine.
- Simmer for about 5 minutes season with cayenne pepper, and add chicken and basil if your using it.
- Drain pasta and mix into sauce, serve.
