INGREDIENTS

  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 3 tablespoons simple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 8 cups popped popcorn
  • 1 cup peanuts (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combing brown sugar, butter, simple syrup, and salt over low heat until butter is melted. Cook WITHOUT stirring for 3 minutes. Add baking soda and vanilla. Pour onto popcorn and peanuts and mix until evenly coated. Bake 15 minutes at 300 degrees. Break into chunks.
